Hello, welcome to my blog!
I’ve had this website for 9 months now, and I still haven’t posted a blog.
I use to blog all the time back when I was in high school, up to my college years, but since I started this website, might as well start on a new slate.
Better late than never, I guess. Today’s also my 28th birthday, what a way to commemorate my birthday with a blog post.
So anyway, I’ve been invited to join the “Power in Numbers 6” group show at Nucleus Portland Gallery, thanks to my good friend Kate. The show’s on November 19 until December 21, 2021.
Here’s a little sneak peek of what I’ve made so far.
I’ve recently been experimenting with brighter, more neon colors, Almost florescent highlighter in a way? It’s inspired by the retro newspaper ads and pulp comics from the 50s. I just love the texture, and the color combination they use!
I’m still figuring out which colors are going to stick with me, and I’m really enjoying the process.
Anyway, thank you for reading my little blog post. I hope I’ll continue this rhythm of writing. I will be posting wips and other non art related things perhaps on here. Gotta keep up the momentum!
